About Orange Pro Plumbing
Local plumbing repair, replacement, and installation for Orange and the surrounding Orange County communities.
Orange Pro Plumbing handles the plumbing work Orange homeowners actually call about most: water heaters, drain and sewer clogs, hidden leaks, and repiping for the city's older housing stock. We work under California's C-36 plumbing contractor licensing framework, which requires documented journeyman experience, a passing trade and law exam, and a posted contractor bond before anyone is authorized to take on plumbing work over $500.
Orange runs an unusually wide range of housing eras in one city, from 1880s Old Towne Victorians to 1960s Eichler tract homes with copper embedded in the slab to 1990s Santiago Hills construction. That mix is why we treat every job by what the house actually needs rather than a single standard approach, and it's a big part of why experience specific to this city matters more here than in a newer, single-era suburb.
How we work
Every job gets a flat price approved before work starts. We don't use teaser pricing that changes once a technician is on site, and we don't leave a customer with a form to fill out when a phone call gets a faster answer. Diagnosis comes before any repair recommendation, including on jobs where the honest answer is that repair isn't worth it and replacement is the better value.
We don't handle new-construction commercial plumbing or septic system installation. If a job falls outside what we do well, we'll say so rather than take it on anyway.

What we handle most.
Most calls fall into a handful of real categories. Water heater installation, replacement, and repair for both tank and tankless units. Drain and sewer cleaning, including root intrusion in Old Towne's older clay laterals. Leak detection for hidden slab, wall, and yard leaks. And repiping for homes where the original galvanized or copper lines have reached the end of their service life. Each of those is its own service page with the specifics for Orange, rather than one generic plumbing page trying to cover everything at once.
Licensing and insurance.
The C-36 license itself requires documented experience working under a licensed plumber, a passing score on both a trade exam and a law and business exam covering California contractor requirements, and a contractor bond posted with the state before that license is issued. We carry the insurance coverage the license framework requires, and we're glad to have that conversation if you'd like to see documentation before a job starts.
Why we don't use forms.
A plumbing problem is rarely a good fit for a web form. Symptoms are easier to describe out loud, and a quick phone conversation usually tells us enough to give you a realistic idea of what's involved before a technician ever arrives. That's also why every price on this site is a typical range rather than a fixed number. Your actual price gets confirmed on-site, before any work starts, based on what we actually find.
What a typical call looks like.
You call, describe what's happening, and we give you a realistic window for when a technician can be there, same-day in most cases. On arrival, the technician inspects the actual problem before quoting anything. You get a flat price for the specific repair or installation, and once you approve it, the work happens that visit in the large majority of cases. If a job turns out to need parts we don't carry on the truck, we'll say so and schedule a return visit rather than leave you guessing.
Why local knowledge matters here.
A technician who's worked on Old Towne's original clay laterals and Eichler slab plumbing all week walks into a job with a real head start over someone guessing from a generic checklist. We assign work by what a house actually needs, and we train around the specific patterns this city produces rather than a one-size-fits-all script. That's a small thing on paper, but it's usually the difference between a fix that holds and one that comes back in six months.
Getting in touch.
Call any time for an emergency, or during the day for standard scheduling. If you're not sure whether something is urgent, describe what you're seeing and we'll tell you honestly whether it can wait or needs a same-day visit. You can also see full contact details, our address, and a map on the contact page. We'd rather answer a question upfront than have you guess and either wait too long or pay for an emergency visit you didn't need.
